How Ghostly Scribbles Works
If you haven't joined yet, don't worry! You still have plenty of time to dive into the shadows. Throughout the entire month of October, we are providing daily spooky writing prompts to inspire your creativity. From eerie encounters and chilling confessions to mysterious footsteps and midnight monsters, every single day offers a brand-new doorway into the macabre.
Need a taste of what the prompt list looks like? Here are a few favorites from the official challenge:
-
October 1: Slow dancing with a ghost.
-
October 5: My grandmother is a murderer.
-
October 12: The painting of a vicious murder shows your face.
-
October 22: The opening of the door on Halloween's eve.
-
October 31: The cat brings home more than dead mice.

The Clock is Ticking... ⏰
Pay attention, writers, because time waits for no one—especially not the spirits haunting our pages. You have until midnight on October 31st to submit your completed texts to us.
Whether you write a flash fiction piece inspired by a single prompt or a collection of eerie vignettes from across the month, we want to read what you've conjured up from the dark corners of your mind. Don't let your stories fade away into the fog. Polish your drafts, check for wandering ghosts, and send them in before the witching hour strikes on Halloween night.
