What a spring it's been for Donkey Books! We kicked off the season with the successful launch of 'Toch is het mijn! Fictie & feiten uit het leven van Aaltje Beeker (1707-1740)', a book that has already captured many hearts. We were also out and about at various locations, from the charming Open Garden Day at Bickershof to an inspiring private gathering at De Flesseman. It was fantastic to meet so many of you and share our passion for the unique stories by our very own authors.

But we're far from done! We'll be making some noise this summer too. Keep your eyes peeled for mentions in various newsletters and listen closely, because we even expect to be featured on an actual podcast! But while you're enjoying long days and warm evenings, we at Donkey Books are already busy cooking up something super exciting for autumn! Believe it or not, we're diving into the second edition of our spookily fun Ghostly Scribbles writing challenge!

Last year was a tremendous success, and we can't wait to see what terrifying, enchanting, or hilarious stories will emerge from pens this year. Starting this October, as the days get shorter and the leaves begin to turn, every participating writer will receive a new daily writing prompt, along with a maximum word count to spark creativity and let imagination run wild. It's the perfect way to flex your writing muscles and get inspired by the season of witches, ghosts, and mysteries.
